The US Central Command said that American forces have turned back 28 vessels since enforcing a naval blockade around Iran.

The blockade, which began last week, targets ships entering or leaving Iranian ports. Washington says it is part of its security measures, but Tehran has called it a violation of the ongoing ceasefire.

Tensions increased after Iran briefly reopened the Strait of Hormuz—a crucial route for global energy trade—before restricting traffic again, citing unmet commitments from the United States under the temporary truce.

Donald Trump accused Iran of repeatedly breaking the ceasefire, further complicating efforts to stabilize the situation.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts continue. JD Vance is expected to travel to Pakistan with envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for a new round of talks.

However, Iran has not confirmed its participation and insists that the blockade must be lifted before negotiations can move forward.

The situation remains tense, with both military actions and diplomacy unfolding at the same time, leaving the future of the ceasefire uncertain.
