Abdulhamid Dbeibeh, the prime minister of Libya, has reshuffled his government in an effort to improve how the state functions and delivers services to citizens.

Under the changes, around 10 of the country’s 27 ministers were replaced. Despite the reshuffle, Dbeibeh will continue to hold the positions of defence and foreign affairs minister.

According to the government platform Hakomitna, the move aims to strengthen the performance of state institutions and address administrative challenges. Dbeibeh also said the new cabinet seeks to bridge regional divisions and improve coordination within the government.

In a social media post, the prime minister explained that the changes are not just symbolic but meant to speed up the delivery of public services and improve governance.
