Türkiye’s Presidential Centre for Combating Disinformation has refuted recent claims circulating on social media alleging that Somalia has implemented new visa restrictions on Turkish citizens.
In an official statement, the centre clarified that travel arrangements between the two nations remain entirely unchanged, noting that citizens of both countries continue to travel under existing visa protocols.
“There are no new restrictions or legal changes to the visa arrangements between the two countries,” the centre emphasised.
The presidential centre said the misleading reports are intentionally designed to undermine the strategic partnership and ongoing cooperation linking Türkiye and Somalia.
Authorities have strongly cautioned the public against relying on unverified reports, advising citizens to directly consult official institutions for accurate, up-to-date travel and visa guidance.
