Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq have held high-level talks addressing bilateral relations and the escalating security crisis across the Middle East.

Erdogan warned that recent attacks on Iran, followed by retaliatory actions impacting neighboring countries, are pushing the region toward an unprecedented level of instability. He emphasized that any attacks targeting Oman are unacceptable and could further intensify regional tensions.

Amid the growing crisis, Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to diplomacy, stressing that mediation efforts remain central to Ankara’s strategy and will continue despite challenging conditions.

The Turkish leader also condemned restrictions on Muslim access to Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, describing them as unacceptable, while drawing attention to the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.

He further highlighted the need to sustain international peace initiatives, including those led by the newly established Peace Board, with the objective of advancing a two-state solution.

The call concluded with Erdogan extending Eid al-Fitr greetings to the Omani leadership, marking the end of Ramadan.
