Pope Leo sticks to normal schedule ahead of surgery to remove lung growth
Pope Leo is maintaining his regular schedule on Monday as he awaits surgery to remove a small growth found on one of his lungs, the Vatican said.
Security officials say there is a strong likelihood the threats could be carried out, as authorities order action.
Activists say US lawmakers must be held accountable for military assistance to Israel and investments in weapons manufacturers.
Pope Leo said on Sunday that doctors had detected a small growth on his lung during a recent health check and he would be undergoing surgery this week to remove it.

The government attributes the crisis on a shortage of foreign currency and is hoping a new loan from the International Monetary Fund will help stabilise the economy.
