China has successfully launched a new satellite for Pakistan, marking another step in their growing cooperation in space technology.

The satellite, called PRSC-EO3, was sent into orbit from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center using a Long March-6 rocket. According to official reports, it successfully reached its planned orbit, making this the 640th mission in China’s Long March rocket series.

This satellite is designed to help Pakistan better observe Earth. In practical terms, it will support things like tracking natural resources, managing disasters (such as floods or earthquakes), monitoring environmental changes, and improving urban planning.

Pakistan’s space agency, SUPARCO, described the launch as a major milestone toward becoming more technologically independent. The satellite is also expected to play a role in food security and long-term national development planning.

The mission highlights the close partnership between China and Pakistan, especially in advanced technologies like space exploration. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the scientists and engineers involved and thanked China for its continued support.

In simple terms, this launch gives Pakistan better tools to understand and manage its land and resources—while also strengthening its position in space technology.
