Algeria and Serbia have strengthened their bilateral relations through the signing of multiple cooperation agreements spanning culture, finance, tourism, and telecommunications.
The accords were finalized during an official visit to Algiers by Duro Macut, who met with his Algerian counterpart Sifi Ghrieb. The talks focused on evaluating current cooperation and identifying new opportunities to expand trade, investment, and economic collaboration.
Macut highlighted Serbia’s firm commitment to reinforcing ties, pointing to the shared historical legacy between the two nations since Algeria’s independence. He also stressed the importance of activating joint cooperation mechanisms to ensure effective implementation of agreed projects.
Ghrieb, meanwhile, emphasized the need to boost economic exchanges, noting that current trade levels fall short of the potential both countries hold. He invited Serbian investors to take advantage of Algeria’s evolving economic reforms and growing investment opportunities.
On global issues, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to international law, state sovereignty, and the principles upheld by the United Nations, underscoring their shared vision for global peace and stability.
