Türkiye has confirmed that a third Turkish-owned vessel has safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz, despite ongoing regional conflict.
Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said the ship, carrying oil from Iraq to Malaysia, successfully exited the Gulf through close coordination with the Foreign Ministry.
Officials say 12 Turkish-owned ships are still waiting near the strait, with 8 requesting departure. Efforts are ongoing to ensure the safe passage of these vessels and their 156 crew members.
The situation remains tense due to the wider conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. The strait—one of the world’s most important oil routes—has seen restricted movement and heightened security risks.
In simple terms, Türkiye is actively working to protect its ships and sailors while navigating a dangerous and unpredictable situation in a key global shipping corridor.
